My Story
As a mom of a toddler, baby, dog and cat, all living in a 3 bedroom townhouse, I understand clutter and chaos. Over the past 5 years I have gone from working remotely, to taking 2 maternity leaves, to working remotely – and moved across the country in that time. That has meant ALOT of time spent in our home and dealing with our possessions. It has also brought feelings of overwhelm, irritability and impatience. The feeling like I was always tidying, without ever having a tidy home, and wishing I could spend more time on what I wanted to do – making core memories with my loved ones. After decluttering and organizing our home using the KonMari Method®, I felt the profound impacts and life changing magic of tidying up, and now want to help others experience the same.
No matter what walk of life you are in, my goal is to guide you from a state of chaos and overwhelm, to clarity and joy, so that you too can spend your time and energy on what you love.
The KonMari MethodⓇ
I am a consultant-in-training for the KonMari Method®, which was popularized by Japanese tidying guru, Marie Kondo. This method encourages tidying by category – not by location – beginning with Clothes, then moving on to Books, Papers, Komono (miscellaneous items), and, finally, Sentimental items. Keeping only those things that you love and find useful, and discarding the rest with gratitude. We then determine the best storage solutions and organizational systems that maximize space, function and aesthetic beauty.
By following this method you will hone your decision making skills on what to keep or discard, know where everything belongs, and have a home that sparks joy. You will have organizational systems and storage that cater to your home and lifestyle and will help make your living space as peaceful and efficient as possible.
